Cinema Of The Month Competition T&Cs

In celebration of March’s Cinema of the Month, we’ve teamed up with Exeter Phoenix to offer two tickets to a screening at the venue. All entries must be received by 11:59 GMT 1 April 2022.

Prizes

There will be one winner, chosen at random by following the BIFA Instagram account, and tagging another user account in the post. An extra entry will be counted if the post is shared to the entrant story.

The prize bundle consists of 2 x tickets to a screening at Exeter Phoenix cinema.

Open to UK residents only. Members must be 18 and over.

Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. The competition is open to all UK residents.
  2. The competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary. One entry per person, with an extra entry added if the post is shared to their stories.
  3. In order to submit an entry, comment on the post tagging another user account.
  4. Entrants found to be using multiple accounts to enter will be ineligible.
  5. The competition starts on 11:00 am GMT 18 March 2022 and ends at 11:59 GMT 1 April 2022. Entries received after this time will not be considered.
  6. The prize does not include travel or accommodation and it is the winner’s responsibility to ensure they arrive at the screening in plenty of time to ensure admission.
  7. The British Independent Film Awards and the participating cinema are not responsible for arranging any additional refreshments or hospitality at the screening.
  8. Where appropriate, winners under the age of the film’s certification will not be admitted and proof of age may be required.
  9. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
  10. The winners will be notified within 1-3 months from the closing date by direct message on Instagram. Winners must provide a full postal address, email address, and confirmation of their age to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to the Promoter with the required details within 2 days of being notified by the Promoter, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
  11. The prize will be sent to the winner by post and/or email within 1 – 3 months of being notified of their win.
  12. The prize for the winner is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
  13. The prize is supplied by BIFA, via the respective organisation offering the prize (Exeter Phoenix). The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.
  14. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
  15. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  16. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
  17. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  18. Winners may be required to participate in publicity related to the competition which may include the publication of their name, social media post, and/or photograph or video in any media.
  19. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion may be passed on to third party suppliers only insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the prize.
  20. The competition will be governed by English law and entrants to the competition submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
  21. The Promoter of this competition is the British Independent Film Awards of 22 Golden Square, London W1F 9AD.
