Tessa Ross
Tessa Ross CBE is a British film producer and executive. She was Head of Film at Channel 4 in 2000 and ran Film4 and Film4 Productions from 2002 to 2014. Ross was appointed to the Board of the Royal National Theatre in 2011, and became Chief Executive in 2014. She received the BAFTA for Outstanding Contribution to British Cinema in 2013 and was named as one of the 100 most powerul women in the UK by Woman’s Hour. In the 2010 New Year Honours, she was awarded a CBE for services to broadcasting.
Ross has been an executive producer on a number of notable British films, including Billy Elliot, The Last King of Scotland, This Is England, Happy-Go-Lucky, Slumdog Millionaire, Hunger, Four Lions, Shame, 12 Years a Slave, Under the Skin, Ex Machina, 45 Years, Room and Carol.
