Steve Kenis

Steve Kenis was raised in Beverly Hills, California, and entered the entertainment industry with the William Morris Agency.  After working in all areas of the agency’s activities he settled in its Motion Picture Department.

He was transferred to the company’s London office and appointed Managing Director of the British subsidiary in 1983.  He held that position until 2000 when the parent company decided to cease its representation of dramatic artists in the UK.  Mr. Kenis then set up his own agency in London, Steve Kenis & Co which continues.  His clients include Dame Julie Andrews, Rutger Hauer, Jacqueline Bisset, Geraldine Chaplin, Bruce Beresford and David Ambrose along with the Estates of Sir Peter Ustinov, Peter O’Toole, Richard Harris and Omar Sharif.

Mr Kenis is a member of the Personal Managers Association and serves on its Council as well as the board of the British Equity Collecting Society.  He also serves on the Event Committee of the British Independent Film Awards.  He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the British Academy of Film & Television Arts.

He is married to the musician Linda Thompson and lives in London.  He is a dual Anglo/American national.
