
Ogo Okpue
Ogo is an award-winning filmmaker and VFX artist based in Essex. He is also the founder of Adverto, a production company focused on producing entertaining world class genre content based on stories and/or characters of black heritage.
His award-winning debut feature ‘A Song From The Dark’, a supernatural horror drama was acquired by Amazon Prime and released across five territories on 12th July 2024. The film has been nominated, awarded and screened at various international festivals such as the American Black Film Festival (Best Director/Best Actor), Pan African film festival (Best First Feature), Africa Movie Academy Awards (Best First Feature) and so on.
Ogo’s previous short films have been nominated and screened at various UK and International festivals. His short film ‘Saving Cain’ was shown on Shorts HD DirecTV Channel 573 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 1789 and his previous short film ‘Cat Face’ has been shown on various international VOD platforms since its release.
Ogo and his team at Adverto currently have several genre projects in development.
