MyAnna Buring

MyAnna
Buring trained at LAMDA and was nominated in 2010 by Screen
International as A Star of Tomorrow. She has forged an impressive
list of film, television and theatre credits since then. In
2011 she was nominated in the Best Actress category for her
naturalistic and hard-hitting performance as a mother and wife in Ben
Wheatley’s Kill
List

as well as starring in acclaimed BBC drama White
Heat
.
More
recently MyAnna appeared in Bill Condon’s final installments of the
Twilight
Saga – Breaking Dawn 1&2
.
2014 will see her star in upcoming films Epic
(
directed
by Ben Hopkins, co-starring Matthew Macfadyen) and Gerard Johnson’s
Hyena.


MyAnna’s first
film The
Descent

(directed by Neil Marshal) was nominated for Best Film at the British
Independent Film Awards in 2005, winning for Best Director and Best
Technical Achievement for the film’s editor Jon Harris.

In
2013 MyAnna reprised her roles of manipulating chambermaid Edna in
ITV’S Downton
Abbey
and
as East End madame Long Susan in BBC’s
Ripper Street
.

She
is currently starring in Barbara Broccoli’s West End production of
the classic Hitchcock film, Strangers
on A Train
.
