Matt Palmer

Writer/Director Matt Palmer started his career in film with the short films The Gas Man [2007], Island [2006] and Daylight Hole [2014], but it wasn’t until 2018 that Netflix gave Palmer the chance to create his feature-length release which he used to make Calibre, a tense thriller about a hunting trip that went wrong. Calibre was nominated for three BIFA awards including nods for Palmer in the Best Debut Director and Debut Screenwriter categories.
