Martin Wallace

As a director of factual television, Martin Wallace is an International Emmy and Royal Television Society North West award winner and BAFTA nominee. He began his career directing music videos for artists including Pulp, Aphex Twin, Tindersticks, and Biffy Clyro. His three-part Channel 4 series, Journeys Into The Outside with Jarvis Cocker, documented visionary environments around the world. As well as writing, directing, and producing fiction shorts for Film 4 and Channel 4, his debut feature, Small Creatures, was nominated for the Michael Powell Award at the Edinburgh Intentional Film Festival in 2012. Working with Tate Liverpool and Liverpool Biennial, he has produced large-scale moving image pieces for visual artists such as Yoko Ono and Mark Wallinger. He has several narrative features in development including Voodoo Rainbow via the FilmHub North Early Development Fund.
