Lorine Plagnol

Lorine founded Sungazer in 2018, a London-based production company dedicated to support the work of talents from historically underrepresented groups – both on and off screen – believing in the power of storytelling to create change. She is a BFI Insight alumnus and was longlisted for a BIFA as a Breakthrough Producer. Lorine collaborated with BBC Films and Film4 on shorts like Rosannagh Griffiths’ Dope Fiend, and Iggy London’s Oscar qualifying Area Boy which garnered acclaim at festivals like Venice Biennale, BFI LFF and Santa Barbara. Her first feature Dalton’s Dream by Kim Longinotto and Franky Murray Brown, is set to premiere on Storyville. She also produced Abel Rubinstein’s ITV/Woo miniseries Life in Love and contributed as an Associate Producer on features like Cannes 2023 New Voice Prize winner Omen, or the upcoming Parkville’s production Lollipop. Sungazer is a 2024 recipient of the BBC Small Indie Fund.
