Jon S Baird

Jon S. Baird is a Scottish writer, director and producer. His second movie was the adaptation of the Irvine Welsh novel Filth, which was both highly acclaimed and a box office success; now being included in the top ten highest grossing UK 18 certificate films of all time. Baird recently directed the Channel 4 series Babylon, produced by Danny Boyle, and is currently developing a number of new films, including a biopic of Laurel and Hardy written by Acadamy Award nominee Jeff Pope. Baird was nominated as Best Director for Filth at the 2013 British Independent Film Awards, and won the 2014 London Critics Circle Award for breakthrough British filmmaker.
