Jamie Sives
Jamie trained at The Drama Centre London and since leaving in 1998 has appeared in films such as Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself, Clash of the Titans, Valhalla Rising, Hallam Foe, On a Clear Day, It’s a Wonderful Afterlife, Triage, A Woman in Winter, One Last Chance, Frozen, Get Him to The Greek, Love and Other Disasters, Last Chance Harvey and Mean Machine and has recently finished work on Lone Scherfig’s film One Day with Anne Hathaway. He has worked on numerous television shows, most notably BBC’s The Passion and To the Ends of the Earth. At the moment he is busy filming a new series for HBO entitled Game of Thrones. His theatre credits include Edward II, directed by Michael Grandage and Hedda Gabler, directed by Sir Richard Eyre. As well as being nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2003 BIFA’s, for the role of Wilbur in Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself, Jamie won best actor awards at the Valladolid and Festroia film festivals. He also received nominations at the London Film Critics and European Film Academy Awards, respectively and was chosen to be the British ‘Shooting Star’ at the 2003 Berlin Film Festival. He received a best actor award at this year’s Jean Carmet Festival in Moulins, France for his role in a short film shot in Paris last year entitled Tremblay-en-France.
