Dominic Savage

Dominic Savage is a multi BAFTA award winning writer-director. Born in Margate Kent, Dominic at the age of 10 appeared in Stanley Kubrick’s Barry Lyndon which led him on a path to directing. After attending the National Film and Television school in Beaconsfield, he directed many documentaries for television, including stand out films for the Cutting Edge strand for Channel 4. This paved a way for a career in drama writing and directing. He then made a number of critically acclaimed and award winning social realist films for the BBC. Including Nice Girl (2000), When I Was 12 (2001), Out of Control (2002), Love and Hate (2005), Born Equal (2007) and Freefall (2009) His latest work is The Escape, which premiered at TIFF (2017) starring Gemma Arterton and Dominic Cooper, and the anthology series I Am (2019) for Channel 4, starring Samantha Morton, Vicky McClure and Gemma Chan.
