Anna Higgs
ANNA HIGGS is a multi-award-winning producer, commissioner and columnist.
Most recently she was Managing Director of Casarotto Ramsay & Associates, an independent talent agency that represents many of the world’s best-known writers, directors, creatives, literary properties, and Heads of Departments in film, theatre, television and new media. Prior to that she was Creative Director at global video channel NOWNESS, Commissioning Executive at Film4 and an independent producer.
Visionary work she has supported, produced or EPd includes: Sundance-winning Nick Cave film 20,000 Days on Earth, BAFTA-winning The End of the F*cking World and Oscar winner Lenny Abrahamson’s Frank. She has worked with filmmakers including Ken Loach, Lisa Gunning, Ben Wheatley, Alice Lowe, Paul King and Jenn Nkiru.
She is currently Chair of the BAFTA Film Committee and on the Board of Trustees. She has been named one of Creative Review’s ‘Creative Leaders 50’, and among Time Out’s inaugural ‘Culture 100’, a celebration of the “innovators, visionaries and pioneers behind what’s now and what’s next. A search for the most original and influential people in the UK creative and media industries” alongside innovators such as Danny Boyle, Stella McCartney, Grayson Perry and Jonathan Ive.
