Firmly established at the forefront of UK film, BBC Film has an ambitious slate featuring many of themost exciting filmmakers working today.BBC Film has a number of films world premiering in Autumn 2024, including Athina Rachel Tsangari’s HARVEST starring Caleb Landry Jones, Harry Melling and Rosy McEwen which screens In Competition at Venice Film Festival, while ON FALLING, from writer-director Laura Carreira, and THE SALT PATH based on the best-selling novel by Raynor Winn, directed by Marianne Elliott and starring Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs, will both premiere at Toronto International Film Festival. Short film STOMACH BUG, directed by Matty Crawford, will also world premiere at TIFF and then go on to play at LFF, alongside screenings of four BBC Film features that previously screened in Official Selection at Cannes Film Festival 2024,including: BIRD, from award-winning writer-director Andrea Arnold (Cow, Fish Tank); Rungano Nyoni’s (I am Not a Witch) second feature ON BECOMING A GUINEA FOWL; SEPTEMBER SAYS, the feature directorial debut from Ariane Labed based on the novel ‘Sisters’ by Daisy Johnson; and SANTOSH, the narrative feature debut from writer-director Sandhya Suri (I For India).
