James Norton is exceptional in this moving portrait of a dying single father trying to do the right thing by his four-year-old son. John, a 35-year-old window cleaner, has dedicated his life to raising his son Michael, but when he’s told he’s not got long left to live, his life’s purpose becomes finding Michael a new family to care for him once he’s gone. Together with the caring social workers supporting him, John sets out on his mission, meeting with all the potential adoptive parents for Michael. This touching and poignant film grapples with universal themes of life and death, family and the gift of love.
