BIFA is supporting UK independent cinemas with a social media and outreach campaign that highlights and champions our favourite places to discover new independent films.
BESPOKE ORGANIC CONTENT
With original content for the BIFA social channels, we aim to spotlight specific cinemas around the UK, promote cinema specific activity and increase awareness of the amazing independent films we’re shouting about year round.
Our social media activity includes signposting the reopening of select independent cinemas, supporting cinemas to promote activities targeting under 25 year olds, a new Cinema of the Month strand and This Is My Cinema: The BIFA Podcast.
If you would like to talk to us about how we can feature your cinema or programme, we’d love to hear your ideas. Please contact isra@bifa.film to discuss.
MARKETING SUPPORT MATERIALS
All exhibitors can access BIFA-branded marketing materials (and guidelines) to help promote screenings of our campaign titles at their cinemas, including:
- Static assets, 1:1, 9:16, 16:9
- Suggested copy highlighting key themes and talent
The titles featured are part of BIFA’s wider campaign, for which the criteria for selection includes eligibility for BIFA and appeal to under 25 year old cinema goers.
Please contact us for access to these assets.
LOCAL / COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Recognising the importance of community outreach we are working closely with venues to offer additional outreach support by connecting venues with key community groups and offering suggestions on outreach to welcome a wider audience back to cinemas.
WATCH.BIFA.FILM
All titles featured in the campaign sit on watch.bifa.film, a platform that directly connects audiences with the best new independent releases at their local cinemas.
DCM TRAILER
Soon, you’ll be able to see our new DCM trailer in cinemas, celebrating independent titles and our love of the big screen.
