Bullying and Harassment
The British Independent Film Awards strives to promote and support an industry where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. We do not tolerate bullying and or harassment, racism or any other forms of discrimination. Any reports of bullying or harassment, racism or any other form of discrimination made to BIFA against those involved in BIFA (including staff, volunteers, committee members, board members and award recipients), will be acknowledge swiftly and sensitively and in accordance with BIFA’s internal policies.
We encourage those who are the target of, or witness to, bullying or harassment of any sort to report the behaviour and seek additional support.
The Film and TV Charity have a number of resources to help those who have experienced or witnessed bullying and, or harassment. Confidential helpline: 0800 054 0000. Also a new tool called Spot which helps you to anonymously record your experiences and organise your thoughts quickly and easily. Each record remains completely confidential within the system, and is not accessible by anyone else.
If you have concerns about those involved in BIFA, including but not limited to award recipients, you can either contact the executive directors of BIFA Amy Gustin & Deena Wallace
If you prefer, you can contact the non-executive directors on the BIFA Board via this group email address, which will be sent to all Board members or the Chair of the Board Dan Brooke.
